With effect from 1 September 2008, the VDL Groep has taken over the
company Stokvis Parking Systems which will operate within our group under
the name VDL Stokvis Parking Systems bv and will be located in Amersfoort.
VDL Stokvis Parking Systems
VDL Stokvis Parking Systems specialises in solutions for parking problems,
especially where lack of space plays a role. A suitable solution can be
offered for any situation with an extensive range of fully-automatic and
semi-automatic parking systems. Examples of the fully-automatic parking
systems can be found at, among other places, the ANWB in The Hague, De
Witte Keizer in Rotterdam and Klein Gooioord in Amsterdam.
Reason for takeover
The takeover is in keeping with existing VDL activities in the field of
parking systems. VDL Technics, for example, is already providing a number
of steel constructions for automatic parking systems. The companies will
complement one another well as a result of the takeover. Accelerated growth
is possible because of this and the leading position in the market of
VDL Stokvis Parking Systems will be extended further.
Total supplier
In addition to providing expertise in the fields of fully-automatic and
semi-automatic parking systems, VDL Stokvis Parking Systems covers the
whole process of consultancy, delivery and assembly. A national network
of service engineers provides maintenance and after sales service. This
means that VDL Stokvis Parking Systems is a reliable partner for project
developers, architects, constructors and end users.
