Change of management VDL Groep
Industrial family company VDL Groep of Eindhoven further expands the management. From 1 January 2017 three managing directors will join the group's deputy directorate. They are Carel Bouckaert, Jos van Meijl and Guustaaf Savenije. Members of the deputy directorate serve as sparring partners for company directors and represent the companies during board meetings.
Carel Bouckaert (58) is Joost Govaarts’ successor as managing director of VDL Nedcar. He has worked at VDL Nedcar since 1984 and started as an apprentice in the press shop. He has since held several positions at NedCar, including section supervisor, production manager and unit manager for the paint shop and assembly. Carel Bouckaert has been technical director at VDL Nedcar since 2013.
Jos van Meijl
56-year-old Jos van Meijl has worked at VDL Groep for 33 years. In 1983 he started as work planner at VDL VDS Technische Industrie. At this company he then successively served as production planner, assistant works manager and purchaser. In 1999 Jos van Meijl became managing director of VDL VDS. Since 2009 he has combined that role with the managing directorship of VDL Gereedschapmakerij. As vice president, Jos van Meijl will take responsibility for the supervision of a number of VDL companies.
Guustaaf Savenije (59), managing director of VDL ETG, has worked at VDL Groep since September 2013. He started as a technical director at VDL ETG. Since May he has combined that role with the managing directorship. Guustaaf Savenije, who worked at Philips and ASML in the past, will serve as supervisor for the eight VDL ETG companies.
Deputy directorate team
The deputy directorate of VDL Groep will consist of seven people: Simon Bambach, Rémi Henkemans, Henri Koolen, Bas van der Leegte, Carel Bouckaert, Jos van Meijl and Guustaaf Savenije.
