Metalworking
VDL Groep can handle practically any metalworking process, from iron casting and sheet metal and construction work, robot welding, pipe bending and laser cutting, through to laser welding, water jet cutting and ultra-precision lathe and milling work. Moreover, all metal-cutting operations such as turning, drilling, milling and bending are performed completely automatically. The company continuously invests in the most advanced machinery and the optimisation of production processes.

Mechatronic systems
VDL is a worldwide player in the supply of complex and innovative mechatronic systems. The company develops and produces both parts and modules as well as complete systems for high-tech production equipment, analysis and medical systems. VDL can be entrusted with the entire process from product design, value engineering, supply chain management and parts manufacture through to (cleanroom) assembly and aftercare.

Plastics processing
The VDL companies within the plastics sector offer their customers total solutions, from product development and the production of semi-manufactured goods through to the assembly of complex composite systems. We are also capable of the post handling of products (polishing, gluing, welding, printing, painting and chrome coating).
Surface treatment
VDL is a specialist in shot blasting, zinc phosphating, cataphoresis painting, powder coating and wet coating, assembly and warehousing. The group also operates a manual shot blasting booth and an automated continuous shot blasting booth with twelve turbines. VDL has a fully automatic cataphoresis and powder coating line, including zinc phosphating pre-treatment.
