Dutch Technology Festival 2022

At VDL Groep, we are proud of our technologies! And we are eager to showcase them to you during Dutch Technology Festival 2022. 

High Tech Discovery Route

When? Saturday 11 June from 10:00 - 16:00
Where? VDL ETG Eindhoven (De Schakel 22, Eindhoven) and VDL TBP Electronics (BIC Campus, Cluster 1 Eindhoven)

Experience the world of engineering at a higher level with VDL Enabling Technologies Group. During an exclusive tour, you will get acquainted with our unique manufacturing techniques and learn more about the high-quality equipment produced by VDL ETG. We are active in the semiconductor, solar, medical, LED, and analytical instrument markets. During your visit to VDL ETG, we are happy to explain exactly what this entails.

Besides learning more about our production processes, products, and techniques, you can also experience these yourself at one of the many hotspots within our location. How about, for example, operating robots? Or creating a high voltage artwork?

Additionally, you can visit VDL TBP Electronics at the Brainport Industries Campus. During the High Tech Discovery Route, robots will take over the campus and give you a behind-the-scenes look behind the green-yellow walls of the building. Through various fun activities and workshops for young and old, you will get to know the residents of this campus and other companies from the region. And of course, you can also stop by the BIC café for a drink and a treat.

Night of the Nerds

When? Wednesday 15 June from 09:00 to 17:30
Where? Klokgebouw Eindhoven

On Wednesday 15 June, a live edition of Night of the Nerds will take place. Immerse yourself in the world of technology, innovation, and creativity.

A packed program has been compiled for tech enthusiasts. Expect experiences, workshops, tech talks, and a Night of the Nerds quiz. Learn to program music, test and play new games, and ask all your questions to the University Racing Team, who have built their own race car.

The following activities can be found at VDL Groep:

• Microscopy workshop
• Mini robot football
• Car made from waste

This year, Night of the Nerds can be found at multiple locations on and around Strijp: the Klokgebouw, MU, Fontys Innovation Lab, POPEI, and VR Centre Enversed.

Mission Tech

When? Wednesday 15 June from 08:30 - 15:00
Where? Klokgebouw Eindhoven

Especially for Dutch Technology Festival 2022, Mission Tech is once again being organized live this year for students from grades 5 to 8.

You will be amazed and excited by all the wonderful things that technology has to offer. Get acquainted with the newest forms of gaming, build a robot yourself, and take part in the exciting quiz.

Quiz Night XL

When? Thursday 16 June from 19:00 - 23:00
Where? Klokgebouw Eindhoven

Are you and your friends or fellow students the ultimate tech experts in the Netherlands? Then compete on Thursday 16 June during the successful Quiz Night XL. During this exciting quiz evening, you'll be presented with various questions: from Einstein to iPhone. Do you know everything about the world of science and technology? Then join in!

During Quiz Night XL, 280 teams of 5 people compete for the win. The evening is English-speaking and is hosted by a quizmaster and co-host.
