VDL ETG: new facility in Vietnam

VDL ETG, the high-tech cluster of VDL Groep, has during the Dutch trade mission in Vietnam, confirmed a collaboration with Frasers Property for the construction of a new branch in Vietnam. Construction of the new VDL factory in the northeast of Vietnam will start soon. The plan is that by the end of the first quarter, early second quarter of 2025, the first modules will leave the new factory to supply international customers.

The overarching growth strategy of VDL Groep is global, across 3 continents: Europe, America, and Asia. VDL's global customers demand an even better worldwide coverage, and that local markets are produced locally. Being able to supply everywhere is a major advantage for both existing and new customers of VDL.

VDL Groep is therefore investing across all three continents, the vast majority in Europe and some in the other two continents. These investments aim to maintain and strengthen employment in the current factories. VDL ETG also has branches in Asia, located in Singapore and Suzhou (China).

Approximately 60 colleagues will initially work in Vietnam at VDL ETG. By the end of the first quarter, beginning of the second quarter of 2025, according to plan, the first modules will leave this location to serve international customers.
