VDL Groep extends sponsorship contracts with PSV and FC Eindhoven by 5 years

VDL Groep extends the long-term sponsorship agreements with PSV and FC Eindhoven by no less than 5 years. As a result, the sponsorship contracts with both professional football organisations run until at least 2030. The collaboration between the industrial family company headquartered in Eindhoven and PSV dates back to 1988, and with FC Eindhoven to 2000. VDL Groep is one of the companies most closely associated with both FC Eindhoven and PSV. The announcement of the contract extensions coincides with the Lichtstadderby. In the Philips Stadium this evening, approximately 4,000 VDL colleagues will attend the annual clash between PSV and FC Eindhoven, ahead of the new football season.

Since the establishment of the Brainport partnership (main sponsor) in 2019, VDL Groep has been part of this regional cooperation with PSV, which also includes ASML, CSU, Jumbo, Philips, Rabobank, Royal Swinkels, and Brainport Eindhoven. In this collaboration, the partners work together to increase and strengthen the name recognition and reputation of the Brainport region. We do this, among other things, by focusing on social issues, such as connection and reconciliation.

Power through collaboration

Alongside the extended collaboration with PSV, VDL Groep announces a second contract renewal with FC Eindhoven. This partnership, entering its 26th season and its 21st season as shirt sponsor, is one of the longest-standing partnerships in Dutch professional football.

VDL Groep sponsors the entire FC Eindhoven stronghold: the professional football organization, the amateur branch, the women's section, the youth academy, futsal, and the social pillar FCE Foundation. With this, VDL contributes to the broad social and sporting role that the club plays in the city and region. What once started as a traditional sponsorship agreement has grown into a close and sustainable relationship based on regional pride and strength through collaboration.

Social engagement

VDL Groep supports various amateur sports clubs. Sport promotes cooperation, connectedness, vitality, and camaraderie.
