VDL Groep launches OrderOn.com, online platform for metalworking

VDL Groep takes a major step forward in the digitalisation of production and business processes for on-demand ordering of metal products. The new platform OrderOn.com is part of VDL Groep's broader digitisation strategy, which will also integrate the competencies of other subsidiaries of the industrial family business into one online ‘make to order’ platform for a range of metal and plastic processing techniques.

Automated ordering process

OrderOn.com makes metalworking processes easier, enabling a simple way to outsource parts of metalworking. After uploading digital work files onto the platform, an instant quote is available. Once approved, the fully automated production process begins, and the products are delivered to the specified address. To facilitate this, the laser center at VDL Technics has been expanded with new machines featuring automatic unloading modules and fully automated folding machines, allowing production to run 24/7. OrderOn.com combines VDL’s latest digital manufacturing facilities with more than 60 years of expertise, experience, and craftsmanship from the industrial family business.
