After more than 34 years of employment with VDL Groep, Jan Mooren (65) will retire on 1 January 2023.
Jan Mooren started at VDL in 1989. Initially as director of the companies Caja and Chroomwerk. In 1996, Mooren joined the VDL Groep's executive management team. Executive directors represent VDL companies within the management team and act as sparring partners for company directors. Since 2001, Jan Mooren has been part of the VDL Groep's main board.

After the departure of Jan Mooren, the executive board of VDL Groep consists of: Willem van der Leegte, Pieter van der Leegte, Jennifer van der Leegte, Paul van Vroonhoven, Guustaaf Savenije, and Paul van Vuuren.
