VDL’s online platform OrderOn.com takes new steps

Online platform OrderOn.com is expanding. Sister companies VDL HMI and VDL Industrial Modules are joining this digital platform for metalworking from VDL Groep. The online platform is also being expanded with new operations and new materials. This collaboration strengthens the position of OrderOn.com as the ultimate platform where high-quality metalworking services come together online. In 2022, VDL Groep launched OrderOn.com at its supplier company VDL Technics, in Boxtel.

Wider choice in metalworking

OrderOn.com makes it easy to outsource laser cutting and edge finishing of metal. The online platform is now known as the most user-friendly platform in the market. VDL HMI, based in Helmond, a specialist in the metalworking industry, adds its expertise in tube laser cutting to OrderOn.com. By adding this process, it is now possible to order not only sheet metal but also metal tubes and hollow sections via the online configurator. The collaboration offers customers a wider range of high-quality metalworking options. In addition to laser cutting of sheet parts and tubes, the platform already enables processes such as edging, engraving, and deburring. This allows customers to order their desired metal products directly in the right size, shape, and finish.

After the integration with VDL HMI is fully completed, VDL Industrial Modules will also join. This specialist in module construction and mechatronic machine building expands the range of materials from the available metals on the platform. Customers of OrderOn.com benefit from specialized solutions in the field of stainless steel (STS) and aluminium. This makes it possible to have more types of metals custom laser-cut and finished. An example of this is the inclusion of RVS316 in the material assortment.
